Staff Internships and Fellowships Program
Camp Judaea is excited to offer our tzevet (staff) Internship and Fellowship opportunities for personal and professional growth. These opportunities are meant to prepare tzevet to work in the professions they are pursuing by offering specific on-the-job training and experiences that will support their college studies.
Interns will have a mentor, who is a professional in their field, and upon completion of the fellowship or internship madrichim will receive a certificate of completion signed by Camp Judaea’s Director & their Mentor (accompanied by a letter specifying the intern’s work and responsibilities). The intention is for these experiences to serve as support and evidence of professional development as they pursue post-college professional opportunities.
Fellowships are experiential, educational programs that are run in partnership with other Jewish organizations. Fellowships typically involve an in-person seminar before camp and a cohort based experience at camp. Travel to seminars are 100% covered. We are proud to have sent multiple staff to seminars in Israel during the last two years.
Internships are only open to third, fourth, and fifth year staff. Fellowships are open to second, third, and fourth year staff.

Internships and Fellowships
Foundation for Jewish Camp Cornerstone Fellowship
The Cornerstone Fellowship is a Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) program promoting Jewish culture enhancement at camp by offering educational training and professional development to exemplary returning camp staff. The quality of education provided at camp is dependent on the quality and training of the staff. Returning counselors are the “cornerstones” of their camp, having spent time growing into their roles and delving into the mission of their camp community. Every camp has a vision, reflective of their Jewish mission and philosophy, and Cornerstone Fellows are invigorated to amplify Jewishness and create innovative programming that serve to elevate their camp’s vision. Cornerstone Fellows attend a conference prior to camp and work throughout the summer on a special initiative in camp.
